Sixuan's Nineteenth

This baby girl finally turned 19! To celebrate, we had lunch at egg3 Cafe before heading down to Kallang Leisure Park for some ice skating. It was the birthday girl's virgin attempt and I'm sure she did not see those nasty falls coming! Surprisingly I could ice skate after 5 years, never thought I could master the art of ice skating on my second visit. I guess it's just innate in some people, what to do? Hehehe.

We then abandoned our initial dining plans at some atas restaurant at Dempsey and settled for a "surprise" picnic at Dhoby Ghaut Green instead. I doubt it was much of a surprise because the countless surprises every year make any upcoming surprise so predictable. I'm glad everyone had a great time. Picnic + sparklers are the best combination :)

P.s; image heavy post ahead! Else it wouldn't do justice to the 2 girls who brought their cameras out hehe.

I love Lazy Saturdays with my Favourite Girls

Nike Race was being a bitch that day and we ended up having our long-planned picnic along the pavement. Home-made ham&cheese, tuna and egg sandwiches, fried bee hoon with crispy hot nuggets, bacon bits potato salad and Sarah Lee's pound cake topped with creamy chocolate ice cream, not forgetting my favourite green tea and our dose of Vitagen to digest those fats. I would say it was pretty much a successful attempt at our very first picnic experience together.

Though our plan for kite-flying was foiled, the day didn't end badly cause tired us still managed to drag our feets to MBS for high tea at Darcis. (Belly's intro) Can't wait for the next time! Ice-skating, yes? :)
